Painted Polish has something pretty for Halloween. This year the brand has a trio of polishes with appropriate witchy names 🙂 They are all very holo and splendidly wicked, in a good way!

Covet My Cauldron

The first shade is described as a blackened emerald shifty base with holographic micro flakies and green color-shifting flakies. It’s such a chameleon thanks to the shimmers, holo and flakes in it. It can look like a black, emerald green, or mossy hue depending on the light. Since it is packed with holo and shifting flakes, the polish is a bit thicker so I’d say use thin coats to make the application process easier. It covered in two thin coats for me and my photos show it in with a glossy topcoat and then with a matter topper (the last close up pic).

Feelin’ Hexy

The next one is said to be a nude microglitter mix in a vampy purple jelly base. This is such a deep shade! I love the opacity here and how wonderfully dark it gets without turning all black. I did two thin coats and added topcoat. Since there are tiny glitters in the polish, the removal process will take a little more than usual.

Your Broom or Mine?

The last shade from the trio is described as a blackened violet jelly base with lime and silver glitters. First of all, this shade has much more blue in it  than the previous polish. It may not look like this at first glance but when I put the swatch sticks with these two together, the difference was big. The polish is also a bit more sheer than the other two so you might need three coats. I did two and you can still see some unevenness when the polish is up close but the camera makes it more noticeable, I don’t think I would add a third coat if I were to wear this shade. Since there are glitters in the polish, the removal will take a little more than usual.

My favourite shade is Feelin’ Hexy, no doubts this time. The depth and the beauty of the base colour is phenomenal. I love dark polishes and this grape beauty is pure delight for me.
