There’s a new collection by Painted Polish releasing today and it’s all about mauve! This collection follows the steps of the previous ‘I Love Blush’ collection. As you can guess from the name of the release, it’s a celebration of all things mauve in a variety of mauvelous shades and finishes!
This collection is available starting February 19th on the brand’s website and via stockists. There are five shades in total so let’s jump into the swatches.
It is described as a creamy holo with added silver holographic galaxy glitters for that extra sparkle. It covers easily in 2 coats and I would recommend topcoat to add more shine and smooth the glitters out.
Bust A Mauve
It is described as a mauve crelly base with jade, gold, copper, and blue color-shifting flakies. The flakes here are small and they are not thick like glitters so it won’t be a problem to remove the polish. I did 2 coats of polish + topcoat.
It is described as a nude holographic microglitter mix in a mauve crelly base. This is my favourite finish that the brand does, so I was especially excited about this one. It covers in 2 coats + requires topper because there’s glitter in there.
Stamped in Mauve
It is described as a one-coat mauve creme that doubles as a stamping polish opaque over black and white. It is generously pigmented so it does cover in one coat. I added topcoat to build some volume and add glossiness to it.
Stamped in Pale Mauve
It is described as a one-coat pale mauve creme that doubles as a stamping polish opaque over black and white. It does cover in one coat which is always surprising for a lighter colour! I added topcoat but I mistook my trusty gel-like topcoat with thin (water-like) topcoat which resulted in it leaving some brush strokes over the creme. My bad!
My favourite here is definitely Feelin’ Mauvelous. The base colour looks so pretty paired with that golden nude microglitter!
