Are you in the mood for something sweet and yummy? There’s a whole collection of donut-inspired polishes waiting for you here in this post so open at your own risk if you’re hungry 🙂
On May 23d Painted Polish released four coordinating polishes inspired by donuts and all their glazed and sprinkled goodness. They are all pink toned and that makes me think they are strawberry flavoured. Yum! Please feel free to pick a flavour you love if you don’t care a straw about strawberries 🙂
You Drive Me Glazy
This polish is described as a rosey pink, ultra-holographic microglitter in a clear base. I love this type of polishes that Painted Polish makes, they are super sparkly, they apply easily and I only need a coat of topcoat to make them smooth and glossy! This shade is a wonderful toned-down rose shade, it looks elegant and sophisticated in the shade, and it becomes the epitome of holo gorgeousness once the sun decides to take a look at this polish!
I did two coats with my second coat being a bit thicker than my usual ones. If you like really thin coats, you might need a third with this one.
Glazed & Confused
The next shade is said to be a dusty rose crelly base with gold, bronze and copper color-shifting flakies in it. The flakies here are so pretty! I love those specks of warm hues against the rose base. The best thing to me about this polish is its name, though 🙂 I mean, look at that! Perfection! It could have been loved for the name only but luckily we also got flakies in it to admire!
Two thin coats here. I even tried loading my brush and doing one thicker coat for some of my nails. Too bad my memory is weak so I can’t really tell you which nails have one coat of polish. If you have longer nails, I don’t thick you’ll be able to get away with one coat. If you are a nail wizard, then I can be totally wrong 🙂
Donut Kill My Vibe
The next beauty we have is a pink, lime green, turquoise, orange and gold holographic glitters in a medium pink crelly base. I like glitter shades a lot so I was super excited about this one. This one reminds me of donut glaze the most with its glitters being the sprinkles on top 🙂
I did two coats here and I would recommend topcoat to smooth everything out and make those glitters pop a little bit more.
Stamped in Sugar
The last shade in the collection is described as a one-coat dusty rose creme that doubles as a stamping polish. This polish reminds me not only of donuts but also of bubblegum 🙂
It is truly a one coater, I didn’t even think about adding a second coat when I was painting my nails with it. Superb!
My favourite this time is hands down that glitter holo madness from the beginning of my post. Well, I should have known because it is called ‘You Drive Me Glazy’ and I must confess that it totally does! It is an amazingly holographic rose shade that looks so pretty on the nails! Loved it!
