Hello everyone! I have had this idea for some time where I wanted to create a new type of posts here on my blog. These posts would feature some nail art that was inspired by a work of art, fashion, an image from the web — well, pretty much everything that can possibly inspire a person 🙂
I will add a picture that inspired me every time I write a post like this and explain why I decided to go for a specific design or colour combination. Sometimes I will also add some behind-the-scenes pictures to show the process.
Today I wanted to show you the design inspired by a photograph from a magazine. At first I was drawn to that green bag — I had an Essie polish on my nails that was similar to that shade of mint green and the combination of that particular green and the fiery red was so striking that it was instant love for me.

I opted for these polishes pictured below and two stamping plates from MoYou London:
OPI — Alpine Snow
Essie — Turquoise & Caicos
Artdeco — 667 Fire Red
MoYou plates — Illusion 08 — Holy shapes 07
I wanted to incorporate some geometric patters since I loved those stripes in the inspo picture so much. So I used the Illusion plate to stamp the image over my ring finger nail and the triangles came from the Holy Shapes plate. The green triangle on my middle finger had to be stamped four times because the Essie shade was too sheer to give enough colour on the first try.
I enjoyed wearing that so much — with that mint giving some coolness because of its shade and that vibrant red reminding me that it’s almost strawberry season now!
