Let me show you something new to my blog today.  Please meet F.U.N Lacquer, a nail polish and makeup brand based in Singapore. They have an array of nail polishes that range from holo to glitter, multi-chrome, magnetic and even matte formula.

This summer the brand came out with a 12-piece collection of colour-shifting nail polishes. There are 6 iridescent shades and 6 holographic versions to match. They are advertised as toppers since each of them has the word «topper» on the box but they can surely be used on their own for an ethereal look. My swatches show the shades on their own, the number of coats varies from colour to colour.

Note: If you want to see the polishes layered over different colours, please visit F.U.N Lacquer’s website (click here) for photos.

Cotton Candy

Cotton Candy is described as a multichrome color shifting nail polish that shifts amazingly through pink, gold, green, purple and everything in between. This is one of the sheerer polishes from the collection. I did 3 coats but you can definitely see my nail line still. Such sheer look is actually kind of new to me but I really liked how it looked in this particular colour.

Cotton Candy (H)

Cotton Candy (H) is the holo version of the previous shade with micro holographic glitter and holo flakes. It covers my nail line in 3 coats and it can also be layered over different colour in 1 coat.

Crystal

Crystal is described as a purple multichrome color shifting nail polish that shift amazingly through pink, purple, gold, green and everything in between. I did 3 coats for this shade, you can see some nail line but you can see it’s more opaque than Cotton Candy.

Crystal (H)

Crystal (H) is the holo version of the previous shade with micro holographic glitter and holo flakes. It covers my nail line almost completely in 3 coats and it can also be layered over different colour in 1 coat.

Mermaid

Mermaid is described as an ash pink multichrome color shifting nail polish that shift amazingly through pink, purple, gold, green and everything in between. I found it to be one of the sheerest polishes in the collection. I did 3 thicker coats for this shade but you can see my nail line pretty well.

Mermaid (H)

Mermaid (H) is the holo version of the previous shade with micro holographic glitter and holo flakes. It covers my nail line in 3 coats and it can also be layered over different colour in 1 coat.

Perfume

Perfume is described as a rose gold multichrome color shifting nail polish that shift amazingly through pink, orange, gold, bronze and everything in between. It covers almost completely for me in 3 coats.

Perfume (H)

Perfume (H) is the holo version of the previous shade with micro holographic glitter and holo flakes. It covers my nail line in 3 coats and it can also be layered over different colour in 1 coat.

Butterfly

Butterfly is described as a purple/blue multichrome color shifting nail polish that shift amazingly through purple, violet, blue, pink and everything in between. This is the sheerest shade of the collection. The brand says that it was done on purpose so that the purple shift would stand out from the blue. If the base were too dark, the purple shift would be less apparent. Hence, they recommend layering Butterfly over a darker color for better opacity.

I have 4 and on some nails 5 coats of polish. The brightness and saturation of the colour are mostly from the shimmer here.

Butterfly (H)

Butterfly (H) is the holo version of the previous shade with micro holographic glitter and holo flakes. It covers my nail line in 3 coats and it can also be layered over different colour in 1 coat.

Paradise

Paradise is described as a metallic tropical blue multichrome color shifting nail polish that shift amazingly through blue, gold, green and everything in between. This was opaque for me in 3 thin coats.

Paradise (H)

Paradise (H) is the holo version of the previous shade with micro holographic glitter and holo flakes. It covers my nail line in 3 coats and it can also be layered over different colour in 1 coat.

I have several shades that I enjoyed the most. I absolutely love Cotton Candy — it gives such a pretty wash of colour and has amazing colour shifts from the shimmer. An absolute darling! My surprise favourite from the non-holo part of the collection is Paradise. I rarely gravitate towards shades like that but I must admit that the shift there was so beautiful against that base colour! Totally made me think of some tropical paradise that is unavailable this year 🙂

As to the holo versions — Crystal (H) and Perfume (H) stood out to me the most. I like the array of colours that the former provides and I love the warmth and the radiance of the latter.
